As an entrepreneur and team leader we are in a relationship with our team. We are on a great journey with the team and our clients. But that journey can find us with our team members mysteriously off the path. There are butterflies and distractions that capture our attention.
The distractions create limits for us. We all are subject to those distractions, which when followed, can find us going in opposite directions. As team leader, our teams progress and our peace of mind or confidence is affected by those not going in the same direction. Where have you seen a team member going the wrong way before?
Did you stop and send someone to go get them? Did you go check on them yourself? When we find them, it is really up to them if they choose to come with us in the direction of our value proposition or if they want to go in another way. Allowing our team to choose another path is critical to our success as we need our confidence.
Where do you need to have a confidence conversation to remove some limits? What is the first thing that you can do about it in the next seven days?
Brothers in Christ, where in your relationships has someone fallen behind and possibly strayed from your path together? Sisters in Christ, where are your sisters? Is someone stuck in the past? Has someone gotten disoriented and cannot find you? Listen closely, is someone shouting out in the distance and needs you to come back to get them?
We read, “But I had no peace of mind because my dear brother Titus hadn’t yet arrived with a report from you. So I said good-bye and went on to Macedonia to find him.” 2 Corinthians 2:13 NLT. You are not alone on your path. We all at some point are the one turned around, disoriented and lost.
At other times, we are the ones who can stop what we are doing. We are the ones to roll back to get our brothers and sisters in Christ. Where might the Holy Spirit be moving among your relationships? When we hit a limit that stops us in our tracks we might ask if there is someone we can help.
What is the first thing that you can do about it in the next seven days?
Let us pray, like the world’s foremost superhero, Lord, you have rescued us. You have the power to move our hearts, to drop our fears, and to roll the fog from our eyes. Send the Holy Spirit to move us today, to go back for others. Help us to find our brothers and sisters to be in relationship with one another.
Be with those whose voices are too weak to cry out for help. Make the Holy Spirit cry out for them. Let the shouts, let the voices, let the whispers be heard. Quicken our step to find one another. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen,
