So, you are the leader of a family, a team, or a business. Maybe you lead all of these, but where are you leading with confidence? Confidence is important to our value delivery to our teams and customers. But confidence is just as much about knowing what we can and should do against what we do not and should not do.
Can you remember places where you or your team had confidence to do, when in reality they or you, were just not the right fit? I believe that the more we know what we should not do, the more it influences our confidence of what to do. It could be that the more you abandon the wrong fits, our capacity we have for the right fit increases.
When that happens confidence accelerates, maybe exponentially and just as importantly, it does it appropriately. There is value in appropriate confidence. What is the first thing you can do about it in the next seven days?
Brothers and sisters in Christ, where are you wearing the armor of God confidently? If we are not fully dressed in it, where have we thrown off our confidence? We read, “So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!” Hebrews 10:35 NLT.
Did we leave some of the armor behind like I have left my hat or umbrella at the church? Go back and get it. Did you have an experience and allowed someone else to take the armor from you? It is time for forgiveness and to take the armor back or get new. It does not matter if they apologize, your forgiveness is like purchasing a piece of armor.
You are closer to being dressed. Have you misplaced your armor or gotten distracted like when I set my eyeglasses down and do not recall where I left them? Let us stop what we are doing and find our armor. Our confidence will receive a boost today and we just might happen to contact someone whose life might be changed because of it.
What the first thing that can you do about it in the next seven days?
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, you have given us armor to protect us from all that would attack our relationship with Christ. Today, we pray that our confidence be restored where it is weak. Empower us to pick up our helmets, locate our shields, put on the coat of mail, and carry our spears.
Listen as we march with confidence today so as to find those that are lost. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen,
