Leading teams can be very difficult if you do not know what your vision is. We must have a purpose that the entire team can buy into, or they will not fully commit their energies and resources to the cause. Sure, they might sit on your board, they might be a member, or they might work at your company, but you will not get the best from them.
A value proposition organization delivers to its consumers, but it is the entire organization that makes it happen. Your most restrictive part of your system is in fact, the determining factor of your capacity. It is the restriction to your value proposition funnel. Where might you be able to strengthen your weakest part of your team and systems by concentrating on your vision?
Opening the funnel can occur when you strengthen the walls to stretch the restrictive elements. What is the first thing you can do to spread your vision in the next seven days?
As brothers and sisters in Christ, we have a purpose. Our purpose is to follow Christ by living a life as a born-again people. But it is at those times when we forget to live according to Christ that we suffer the effects of sin.
We can accomplish much and overcome immense hurdles when we follow the purpose. You might recall King Solomon. Remember how he was remembered for being so wise, wealthy and the chosen temple builder for God and the Ark of the Covenant. That is a vision of clarity and purpose.
But do you remember this, "“Your father (King Solomon) was a hard master,” they said. “Lighten the harsh labor demands and heavy taxes that your father imposed on us. Then we will be your loyal subjects.”” 2 Chronicles 10:4 NLT. The people asking for relief had worked with Solomon, for Solomon.
But when King Solomon died, a mutual purpose had ended (the temple was built) and they were not willing to be in the same relationship. The next King did not establish a new purpose and it all went downhill from there. The people wanted relief from hard labor and heavy taxes.
Where might you be falling short in connecting your activities with the right vision and purpose? This missing connection is a limit to any leader and in our faith. What is the first thing that you can do about it in the next seven days?
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, we give you thanks for giving us a chance to live a purpose driven life. Help us when we fall away, get distracted, or move into the darkness. Guide our families and our cultures to know your purpose for us. Let us listen intently for your still small voice in the silence. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen,
