Thank you for being on the team. Here's todays devotion.
Are you plagued with TB? No, not tuberculosis but by team building. Have you caught the powerful bug that allows you to fulfill a value proposition? As entrepreneurs we can create an income for ourselves or we can build a business that provides value to an eventual buyer, income for others and an income for ourselves which supports our families.
To which company model do you belong today? If you have the income only model, maybe catching the team building bug (Tbb) would accelerate your success and your value approach. If you have the Tbb approach in place, where have you expressed appreciation to the team in the last seven days?
The Tb bug is a worthwhile bug to spread and is rewarding on many different levels. It may be the most powerful of all "bugs.” As a leader, who are you going to lead? Is it only yourself, or will it be others as well? The decision will impact our attitude because carrying an attitude of exclusive self-benefit while working to build a team will be counterproductive.
When we are fully committed to building a successful team, we will make sacrifices that benefit the team. Benefiting the team can be an integral part of providing value to the customer of our organization. What is the first thing you are going to do about spreading your appreciation and bug in the next seven days?
Brothers and sisters, I love the words "broken together." I think that I am still falling short of God’s expectations and desires for me. Yet, I know he loves me. He wants a relationship with me and for me to be in a relationship with you as well. Are you broken also?
Do you think and feel that your brokenness is your problem, and it is up to you and only you to address it? Our brokenness is an opportunity to allow God to glue us together. We read, "This is what you must do. When you priests and Levites come on duty on the Sabbath, a third of you will serve as gatekeepers.” 2 Chronicles 23:4 NLT.
The whole passage in Chapter 23 is about how the prophet helps the kingdom to be restored by building a team. Notice this part is directing only one third of the group to a task. The other two thirds also get a specific task to accomplish, and they all combine to restore and repair what was broken.
Where might you feel something is broken and how could you simplify the problem into three parts? Who do you already know that could help you with each part? Which one might be the biggest priority to start with? Most importantly, will you ask God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to join in the restoration?
Imagine a team of you, other Christians, and the Trinity working together to restore what might be broken. Putting the team to work might need to start with our attitude confirming that we are stronger together instead of going it alone. What is the first thing you can do about it in the next seven days?
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, we are broken but we thank you for being willing to reach out to us. Let us join with one another in our brokenness as followers of Jesus Christ. Send your Holy Spirit today to be our glue that binds us together in actions of love for one another and not hate.
Open our minds as we remember the words of Jesus when we show compassion to one another. We give you the honor as we worship your Holy name and give you all the glory as we become broken-together. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen,
