June 25. Some, All Or None.

As entrepreneurs and leaders, we have the responsibility to direct our teams. Many leaders will struggle with the role of delegating. It is often the case that we are giving round tasks to people who have skills that are triangular.

When the round task is larger but weaker than the triangular skills, we will damage the task attempting to force it into the other space. If the circle is strong, it will damage the triangle. When failure occurs with delegating to our team, we might be tempted to take back all of the parts of the project.

This can be especially relevant if we have damaged the team when we delegated in the past. Great leaders do not intentionally harm others or want to repeat doing so which makes it easier to take back the project. Some of the project might be our best fit though. The key word is often the word some.

A project does not have to be all or none on your role. Where might you have all of a project because you have not shared it with the right people yet? Where do you need to find new members to do part of a project? What is the first thing you can do about it in the next seven days?

We read, “When they heard Paul speak about the resurrection of the dead, some laughed in contempt, but others said, “We want to hear more about this later."” Acts of the Apostles‬ 17:32‬ NLT‬‬. The keyword that speaks to me today is "some." We have an all-knowing God.

He is an all-forgiving God because of Jesus Christ. We can proceed in life, taking care of what it is that we can do. Let us focus on the parts that allow us to contribute and which glorify Christ. That is not everything. Nor is it all. It is some and that is one major benefit to having a church community to belong to.

Let us be in relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ, so that when you do your some and I do mine, we might give all to glorify him. Where might an all or none attitude be keeping you

from moving forward? How might we share and trust our brothers and sisters to help us? Let us pray, Heavenly Father, you are the All, the Alpha, and the Omega. We are your people and we come to you through Christ. Help each of us, as a small part of the whole, to find a way to contribute.

Guide us to let go of the areas where our attitudes of all or none are restricting our growth. May we see clearly what some looks like instead of only all or nothing.
