Big moments occur for everyone, but do you recognize them when they happen? As a value driven leader, this might be one of the most important actions we can do. To see a big moment and really sense that an opportunity arises, causes a little uneasiness, uncertainty, or anxiety.
In these moments, we might find a little tension, trepidation, and fear along with potential, excitement, and purpose. You never know when a team member is in the right place at the right time to have an enormous impact from a big moment. But to capture value we must take it, get through it and not run from it.
Sometimes it takes the leader to recognize it as one of those big moments. We can then help them to see past the fear and to mitigate the risks. Where have you had some big moments that you might reflect on and say, “I was made for that?” Where might one of those be occurring for your team or your clients?
As leader, the start of our work week might get a big jump forward by looking for the big in your present and future. I am curious, what is the first thing that you can do about it in the next seven days?
Hey brother, hey sister, do you believe that you were made for something? I mean to question us if God might have a specific action that he intends to have us do? We have free will, but I just wonder if the Holy Spirit is supposed to reach out and touch us occasionally. If for nothing else, it might give us a glimpse of what eternal life might be like and share in something good that does no harm.
Mordecai believed so, we read his words to queen Esther, "If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 NLT.
Have you felt this way yet, that you were made for something? The first step for recognizing those moments may be to recognize and believe that it is possible. I believe we are. Remember, anything is possible through our Savior Jesus Christ. What is the first thing you can do about it in the next seven days?
Let us pray, Father God, thank you for big moments. Thank you for the relationships that you grant us to be in and thank you for your still small voice. May we be quiet enough in our big moments to listen for it.
When we hear it, may we be encouraged enough to have the confidence to take the needed action to bring you glory and to bring us just a little closer to heaven on earth. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen,
