If you ask a poultry producer what the greatest question is, what might they say? It might be, which comes first, the chicken or the egg. As entrepreneurs, which comes first, sales, delivery, or support? We build many divisions and tasks to support our value systems for our clients.
But any task or division that begins to focus on its value only, harms the overall value of the organization. The value any company delivers comes in a total package. There is likely to be marketing, research, sales, billing, accounting and so much more. Without it being connected all together you miss the value of the enterprise.
Where might your team be focusing into a division versus being focused with all divisions? Is your team’s progress and value to your customers being held back by a single task or division? Who on your team has the capacity to assist finding a higher level of collaboration?
Are there teams outside of your company that can help improve your collaboration? If you know your why, lack of collaboration among your divisions could be your largest obstacle. What is the first thing that you can do about it in the next seven days?
As Christians, each of us are called to become born again. We are refreshed, renewed, and cleansed of an old life. We then become part of a new family, the family of followers of Jesus Christ, which we know as the church. But we move forward as individuals, connected through Christ, growing in the community of church.
Being in service to the world as God has asked us, provides value to the lost and to each other. In your faith, where are you not working with others? We read in 1 Corinthians 3:6, "I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.” We do not hear much about Apollos today, that is ok.
We all do not need or want to be front stage. But we all come as a broken and sinful people. But if we are renewed and cleansed it makes us all acceptable to be with. How might you work with others differently in your faith? How might your efforts to work with others be holding your growth back and stunting your faith?
Choosing wisely and intently who to collaborate with in our faith provides the opportunity for exponential growth. What is the first thing you can do about it in the next seven days?
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, you have built us as a people. We can be your church.
Help us to look around and decide how we can come together to connect, grow, and serve. You are first, we are second, but we can together be a community with no need for a placement. Our place is in your love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen,
