July 3. Learning Today And Tomorrow.

As a leader, I suspect that one has to continually learn if we want to continue to grow our people. We study through course materials, presentations, explore at industry meetings, and be in relationship with our teams. When should one stop learning? The answer just might be never.

Could that be one of the secrets to living a healthy and prosperous life? If so, then we probably want our entire team to be on a path of learning as well. What might be the most important area of learning to accomplish for the balance of the year? Being a lifetime learner is seemingly an attitude.

I am not sure that the idea of being a lifetime learner is one that permeates throughout every culture. If it is not in every culture, it is not likely to be present on every team. What can you do to promote learning for your team? One might find that their own attitude towards lifetime learning is restricted or that one is finished learning.

What can you do to promote learning for your team? What is the first thing to do to put the experience of learning into action in the next seven days?

As a follower of Jesus Christ, we have an all-knowing God. But as brothers and sisters in Christ, we have a limited perspective. We have brains capable of many incredible things, but we allow ourselves to limit them. Our brains are the most powerful computers ever known which are only limited by us.

What can you do to learn more about Jesus Christ and yourself, which will help you to draw nearer to him? “Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge." Proverbs‬ 18:15‬ NLT‬‬. Maybe the text of the book quoted here is a strong place to start or to finish.

Either way, be strong and courageous in your learning. As I think about the people who heard Jesus speak and teach, I wonder if they were continuing to learn, prior to meeting him. If they were not, maybe that is why his message was greeted by so many and done so with eagerness.

 Were their hearts and minds wanting to learn about a better way of life and of salvation?
