Entrepreneurs and leaders of teams are constantly moving people and projects. But what makes you and your team stronger than other leaders and other teams? Is it your attention to detail? Could it be your unique process? Maybe it is your attention to hiring great talent.
I believe that the strongest leaders may be those who know why they do what they do. If you know your why and you lead your team with it, I believe that it puts you on track to be wise. This does not mean that other leaders are bad or that they cannot provide value. It just puts you at a very elite level of service and of strength.
Where might you communicate your message of why you do what you do a little better this quarter? When a leader chooses to be accountable to live into their purpose the team will take notice. Are you willing as a leader to be accountable for such a task?
The slightest improvements in strong teams make exponential differences. Maybe all your team needs for exponential growth is some accountability of the top, not accountability from the top. What is the first thing that you can do about it in the next seven days?
In our faith, I like to think that we all take a faith journey. We go down our own path and hopefully grow closer to God through Jesus. Along that path there will be many challenges, struggles and opportunities. But remembering our why leads us to have more wisdom.
We read, "One wise person is stronger than ten leading citizens of a town!” Ecclesiastes 7:19 NLT. When we are tempted, I think that our strength to resist might lay mostly with our understanding of our personal why with Christ. Where might you be able to strengthen your faith by asking yourself why?
Imagine Christ asking you "My friend, why would you do this to our relationship?" This is choosing to live a highly accountable life. What is the first thing you are going to do about being wiser in the next seven days?
Let us pray, Jesus, you came and sacrificed your all for the Father, for me and for us. We come to the Father through you, through this relationship. I pray that we build our relationship to know you in our hearts and learn to share the power of our love. Why, because we are moving either with or without you and we choose with. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
